Two pelicans
Pelicans can eat almost 2kg of fish every day and they can store three times as much fish in their gular pouches as they can in their stomach.
Pelicans are one of the world’s largest birds and as such are a difficult prey for any potential predators, which means they are not hunted much. However, humans can pose a threat. Pelicans are hunted by humans both for food and for their feathers. The brown pelican is currently endangered. They depend on water for their habitat and food, so water pollution, chemical pollution and oil spills are a major threat. They are also at risk from bycatch and being caught in fishing nets when diving for fish.
